FLOU Size Guide
FLOU bralettes are designed for girls in the space between a top and a first bra. Our size guide helps you find the right fit based on size, length, and comfort.
FAQ-Size & Fit
How do I know what size to choose?
FLOU's bralettes follow Swedish standard sizes for children. Choose the size the child normally wears in clothes.
If the child is between two sizes, we usually recommend sizing up for a soft and comfortable fit over time.
The racerback model runs slightly large, so we recommend sizing down.
What age do the sizes correspond to?
All bodies develop differently, so height and fit are more important than exact age.
Approximate guidelines:
128 ≈ 8 years
134/140 ≈ 9–10 years
146/152 ≈ 11–12 years
158/164 ≈ 13–14 years
170 ≈ 15 years
How should a bralette fit?
FLOU's bralettes are designed with light padding and no cups for a soft and natural feel.
What is the difference between a top and a bralette?
A top is usually completely without padding or support.
FLOU's bralettes have a lightly padded front that provides discreet coverage without cups or shaping. They are designed for the time between a top and a traditional bra.
Do FLOU bralettes have cups?
No. FLOU bralettes are designed without cups for a soft and natural feel.
How thick is the padding?
The padding is thin and lightweight, approximately 2mm, to provide subtle coverage without creating shape or feeling bulky.
Is the padding soft?
Yes. The padding is soft and pliable to feel natural and comfortable throughout the day.
Are FLOU bralettes see-through under t-shirts?
The lightly padded front helps reduce visibility under thinner garments, while still feeling soft and natural.
Which FLOU model should I choose?
It naturally depends on taste and preference.
Classic
A clean and minimalist model for everyday wear.
Elegance
The same comfort with a slightly more feminine feel. Perfect under tank tops and dance costumes.
Racerback
A sportier back that works extra well during movement.
Are the shoulder straps adjustable?
Yes. Classic and Elegance have adjustable shoulder straps and a clasp at the back.
Racerback has a simpler, sportier construction.
Is the Racerback true to size?
Yes, the Racerback is perceived to be slightly wider compared to the Classic and Elegance.
If you are between two sizes, you can in some cases go down one size.
Does the label itch?
No. FLOU bralettes are designed with a tear-off label that is easily removed by pulling the thread.
What material is FLOU made of?
Black and white models are made of soft TENCEL™ Lyocell.
Beige models are made of organic cotton.
All materials are OEKO-TEX® certified materials.
Can you train in FLOU?
You can definitely work out in FLOU bralettes. They fit well under a dance leotard, as well as when you play football or hockey.
However, FLOU is not developed as a high-support sports bralette, nor is it made from specific workout materials.
How do I wash a FLOU bralette?
We recommend a gentle wash at 30°C and to avoid tumble drying to preserve the fit and material for longer.
Where is FLOU made?
FLOU is designed in Sweden and manufactured in Portugal.
What do I do if the size doesn't fit?
We offer easy exchanges if the size isn't quite right.
